Partnerships aren't logos on a wall. They're bikes in the dirt, hours on the trail, and coaching expertise shared with programs that need it.

Here's who we work with and what that actually looks like.

North Shore Mountain Bike Association

The NSMBA advocates for trail access and maintains the network across Fromme, Seymour, and Cypress. Jaclyn served on the board as Director of Youth, helping develop their Youth Trail Maintenance program and Youth Fiver events.

What this looks like: Board service, trail building through the Trail Adoption Program, and ongoing maintenance of Executioner and Crippler trails. In 2026, we've partnered with the NSMBA to bring our shop events to the larger community.

Escape Adventures

Escape Adventures runs youth bike camps on the North Shore, getting kids from their first trail ride to shredding Fromme. Tammy and her team have been building young riders for years—many of our shop customers started in her programs.

What this looks like: We partnered with Tammy to create the NSMBA's first Youth Fivers (2 Point Fivers) during Jaclyn's time as Director of Youth. Escape families get priority service at the shop—tune-ups, bike fits, and gear for kids who are outgrowing everything every season.

Colour the Trails

Colour the Trails works to make outdoor spaces more welcoming for BIPOC communities. We partner with them to provide bikes and coaching support for their intro to mountain biking programs.

What this looks like: We supply demo bikes for CTT events and provide coaching expertise to help participants build skills and confidence on the trail

    Local Lift Juice Bar

Local Lift is a hubfor anyone who likes good coffee and smoothies. We keep a selection of Essential Cycles gear and accessories there — so you can grab tubes, a new pair of gloves, or get pointed in the right direction, then stick around for a post-ride smoothie.

What this looks like: Essential Cycles products on-site, a place to refuel after your Seymour laps, and a community space where riders actually hang out.

    Tandem Photography

Steve & Megs are the rad duo behind many of the photos on this website. They have an eye for capturing what riding on the Shore actually feels like — the light through the trees, the mud, the stoke. We've also done some fun video collabs with them thatyou can find on their YouTube.

What this looks like: Website photography, video collabs, and a friendship that keeps producing good stuff.
