Hey Essential Cycles Crew,
Due to the heavy rain forecasted this weekend (with up to 100mm expected in the North Shore Mountains), we've made the call to postpone our Season-Ending Scavenger Hunt & Hangout to October 26th!
We want everyone to have the best and safest time possible, so let’s aim for drier skies next week. Same fun, same adventure—just a new date!
What’s happening?
- Scavenger Hunt: Get ready for a day of adventure! Ride, search, and solve clues across local trails with friends, old and new. We’ve designed it for all skill levels, so everyone’s welcome!
- Shop Hangout: After the hunt, head back to the shop to relax, chat with our crew, and enjoy some snacks and drinks.
- Meet Our Brands: Some of our favorite brands and partners will be there with exclusive products, demos, and swag giveaways.
Whether you’re riding or hanging out, it’s going to be a blast, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
How the Scavenger Hunt Works:

Start at Essential Cycles
Drop by the shop anytime after 9am to pick up your scavenger hunt card. This card will have all the points of interest and challenges for the day. We’ll be here ready to hand them out! -
Hit the Trails
Head out and complete the scavenger hunt at your own pace. Explore the trails, check off the challenges, and take on the fun tasks we've set up along the way. -
Return for Prizes & Swag
Once you've finished the scavenger hunt, come back to the shop with your completed card. We’ll have prizes, swag, and some awesome giveaways for participants! -
Hang Out & Enjoy
Stick around afterward for a relaxed hangout! We’ll have food and non-alcoholic drinks on hand so you can refuel, chill with fellow riders, and share stories from the day’s adventures.
